Suraj Rengarajan

Dr. Suraj Rengarajan is India CTO & MD of Applied Materials India Pvt. Ltd. As India CTO, Suraj works with the eco-system on commercializing disruptions driven by materials engineering.

Suraj started his career in Applied Materials, Santa Clara in 1997, where he held different roles ranging from process engineering, technology, program management, & product marketing. He moved to India in 2007 to set up the solar group for Applied Materials in India & to strengthen core semiconductor skills.

Suraj holds a B.Tech from IIT Madras in Metallurgical Engineering & earned his M.S. & PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in Materials Science. He has over 10 US patents & holds more than 15 publications.
